Digital
Tips
Here are some answers to the most
common questions I get.
Shutter lag “why does my camera wait for a second to take
the picture after I press the button?”
This is the number #1 complaint
that I get from digital camera users. The delay after they push
the button and when the camera takes the picture. Here is a simple
way to minimize that delay.
When you compose the picture,
press the button down half way, the camera will focus and charge
the flash if necessary. When every one is smiling push the button
the rest of the way down. Your camera should take the picture immediately.
The delay occurs when the
camera is trying to focus and prepare the flash. This simple step
will eliminate those delays.
My pictures are too dark, even outside
Most
people complain that their pictures are too dark, when in reality
it is only the subject that is too dark. I have found that this
happens when the sun is behind the subject, off to the side or in
the shade. When I am taking pictures with my digital point &
shoot camera I almost always use my flash. It fills in the shadows
and makes the subject brighter. You will have to turn your flash
on manually. Here is a good example.

The
great thing about digital cameras is that you can experiment and
get instant feedback. The best way to improve your photography is
...Practice,Practice,Practice.
